Ristorante Forchetta, is a family-owned and operated Fine Italian Dining restaurant located in Key Biscayne. The name of the restaurant Forchetta is inspired by the Italian word for ‘’fork’’, which is the perfect gateway to enjoy a memorable culinary journey to Italy at our restaurant.
The menu is characterized by a wide range of freshly prepared authentic Italian dishes, including excellent pasta dishes, Mediterranean seafood, original Italian meat entrées, mouthwatering desserts, and not to forget, the carefully selected wine list. All fresh ingredients are either directly imported from Italy or come from local vendors.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is modern and chic, while also giving a warm and comfortable feel. The turquoise and golden elements inside the restaurant remind of the seaside of Italy, and blend in perfectly to the maritime setting of Key Biscayne, where the sea is just steps away. However, we also offer alfresco seating on the beautiful outdoor patio.
The owners, Alessandra and Raffaella Lai, manage the daily operations of the restaurant, together with the assistance of their parents Claudia and Mario Lai. The two sisters have an Italian background and are true lovers of the Italian cuisine. With the opening of Ristorante Forchetta, a dream has come true, as in the family’s household, food has always been an important part of their lives. In fact, Raffaella is a passionate, self-taught home cook, who has been cooking and baking since she has been a teenage girl. Now she is bringing her creative ideas to the kitchen of Ristorante Forchetta.

EXECUTIVE CHEF ROSARIO CORRAO
Born in Sorrento, Naples (Italy), Executive Chef Rosario Corrao was meant to become an Italian gourmet chef, coming from this famous region that is known for sophisticated pasta and seafood dishes.
Chef Rosario attended culinary school in Naples and worked in renown restaurants and hotels in Italy and all over Europe. This includes restaurants, such as Ristorante Museo Caruso or il Buco in Sorrento, la Sacrestia in Naples, and hotels, such as the Grand Hotel Quisisana in Capri and the Grand Hotel Baglioni in Florence.
For more than 20 years now, Executive Chef Rosario Corrao is bringing his creativity and culinary skills to Miami. Chef Rosario achieved excellent reputation and set his culinary mark in Miami by working and cooking for world famous restaurants such as, the Versace mansion in South Beach, several BICE locations nationwide, Caffé Milano, Pelican Café, the Hyatt, and Breakwater hotels, Escopazzo, or Fi’lia by Michael Schwartz. He also organized professional catering events for Art Basel or le Basque catering company.
Rosario has a strong passion for food which can be seen on his creatively and lovingly prepared dishes and individually decorated plates, ensuring that every single guest feels special. At Ristorante Forchetta, he is now bringing his authentic and contemporary southern Italian - Mediterranean cuisine to Key Biscayne.
